Texas A&M has tens of thousands of students and one of the largest engineering colleges in the country. It just needs a founding team. If that might be you, we help with mentorship, curriculum, and a path to funding. All free.

Why Texas A&M.
Texas A&M’s College of Engineering is among the largest anywhere, and its computer science and engineering department trains serious technical talent at real scale. That combination, thousands of capable students in a program built for exactly this kind of work, is where an AI safety and alignment community belongs. Right now there isn’t one. UT Austin, just down the road, already has a group. Someone gets to be first here, and Texas A&M is a gap on the map.
What you’d be starting.
A real group
A reading group working through alignment research, a cohort running an AI safety fundamentals course, or a technical team building projects. You decide the shape.
With support
Mentorship from organizers who have run these groups, a ready-made curriculum, and help finding co-founders and building a site.
And funding
A path to funding through the Pathfinder fellowship, for speakers, food, compute, and the group’s activities. Free to you, always.
